Lord Jesus Christ,
You chose not to abandon us to endless death and suffering,
but willed that Your Body be broken and Your Blood be shed,
to save mankind from our sin,
not through our own merit,
but by Your Eternal Love.
We ask for some share of that perfect Love,
that we in turn may share it with those around us,
so that, in the fullness of time,
all humanity may return to You in Your Kingdom,
where we long to glorify God Our Father
in eternal exultation and praise.
